Christmas Presents!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I just got home from a fun trip to New Jersey, and I got so many fun presents! I could sniff them out from under the tree from a mile away. By far my favorite gift was this furry bed that I an burrow into. It's fun because I like to go under blankets, couches, beds, tables, and all kinds of places; and now I can do it really easily! Check out the picture below!

I also got some great rawhide treats and snacks. Yum! Christmas tastes good!

Look Out Aliens!

Hi everyone! I'm just taking a break in between Halo3 sessions. Nobody knows this, but when everyone leaves for work in the morning, I pop that game in and kill all the aliens like they were a rawhide bone. My ferocity knows no bounds. You may think I was bred to destroy badgers, but I've got news for you, buddy... I can wreck some fools in Gears of War online. The worst part is that nobody understands me when I bark at them with the headset online. That's ok, the path of alien destruction I leave in my wake says it all. Bark bark!

Happy Halloween Friends!

It's that time of year again when we get to don our scariest costume and try to frighten the living daylights out of our friends, family, and neighbors for candy. I'm not all that big on candy or chocolate, but I do love tricks and treats. Preferably liver or chicken, if you have some for me.

I can be pretty intimidating during my usual routine on the couch, in my bed, or running around the dog park, but this year I'm particularly scary in my costume. I'm a lobster! That's right, look out kids, my claws are sharp and my tail is delicious. If lobsters growled, they say grrrrrrowowowow!

Whatever, just give me the treats and take this costume off.

Greetings from Saratoga, NY!

Well, Chris and Kaye are still on their honeymoon (how long are these things?!?). I actually don't mind so much since I get to travel up the east coast to places I've never seen before. There a great house in Saratoga, NY where I can run free like a wild man. I chase squirrels, rabbits, and other vermin to my little heart's content. I've never slept so soundly!

This is kindof like a great little vacation for me too. All these beds, couches, and carpets for me to sleep on; so many new smells around this place, too! I'm not sure when they're coming back, but I'm havin fun in the meantime!

Here are a few pics from our playtimes outside. Phoenix and I in the backyard, in front of the house, and out back on the putting green. I can't putt very well, but I can throw the golf ball around like a doggy Arnold Palmer!

Dachs Hashanah

While Chris and Kaye are on their honeymoon in St. Thomas, I've been hanging out in New Jersey! It turns out to be a really fun time to party because it's Rosh Hashanah! It's Jewish Year 5768, which I suppose is 40,376 in Jewish dog years. Phoenix and I had a good time. Here is a picture of me getting my new years petting! Huzzah!

Classic Doxie Commercial

Here's one of my favorites from the folks at Sprint:

"I ordered two hundred oxen, but they sent us all these little wiener-dogs."

Back to Basics

They tell me that the basic ingredients of most dry dog food is chicken and rice. Tonight, I decided to go a different route and order some sweet and sour chicken from China King on Rt. 7. I don't much care for the sweet sauce, but I love the chicken and rice. Heck, I'll even eat the carrots since they have that hint of chicken flavor in 'em. Yum!

Here's a funny picture of Chris feeding me some of China King's best dish.

Big Shoes, Little Dog

I wonder what it would be like to walk around in shoes for a day. I wouldn't have to get my feet wet in the snow. I could jump really high like those basketball players, and I'd save the pads on my feet. These were a little too big, but maybe I'll have to find a doggy Foot Locker to get a pair of dachshund kicks!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I guess I've lost track of the days, because today I woke up to a Happy Birthday! By my count, this means that I'm 6 years old. You'd think that I'd be settling down a little, but no - I'm still young, spry, and full of energy. You want to test me? Ring the doorbell :)

The best part of the day was putting my Happy Birthday bandana on and going to the pet store to pick out a present. It's one of my favorite places because everything looks so yummy, and it's all at my height. This is rare when your legs are shorter than the average pencil. I was going to go straight for the rawhide, but I was distracted by some Christmas treats on sale.

I sniffed around for a good long time until I saw some cookies. I picked out a large cookie to treat myself. Then, we were going toward the checkout and I liked this thing they call a Bully Stick. I liked it so much I grabbed it right out of the bin and rang it up.

It's been a pretty great day, and now I get to go home and chew on this massive bone-stick thing. Here's a funny picture of how I tried to chew it like a regular 6" chewy.

New Toy: Ginger Dog!

This is my new toy. He's a dachshund like me! He's kind of got bug-eyes, but I love to chew on him and make him squeak. People have told me it's like feeding hamburger to a cow, but I don't think it's weird.
